Penang Food Hunt 2008

(Sat. 06.Dec.08) An events that gives us a different experience ! The Penang Food Hunt !

Thanks to our teams (Ricky, TCLee, CLLee, HMYeap, TKLau, Mrs Lau, Alvin & YFLai) whose has take part in these hunt. For sure they are playing hard and enjoying the hunt very much.

An event started at 12 noon on Saturday, Dec 6, 2008 after received the event agenda from the organizer.

It can be tells how different an experience and in-experience participant from the start. (Without much hesitate, we have rush and accelerate all out from the starting line even without reading the challenge clearly. This resulted un-necessary longer route take us to the destination. :P

Though, we have no issue to accomplish the challenge #1 within allowable timing.

- to find 4 eating places from given google map (get a stamp to prove the visit)

- give naming ot the malay type of kuih-muih from a list of picture

Challenge #2 at New World Park
We have given about 20 questions to find the answer around the New World Park food court and the fast food outlet. Seeing simple but tough to resolve...This is really hard until most of the participant over spend the time limit. It was demoralize us because unable to solve the clues, we have no choice to let go.

Challenge #3 The Spice Trail

Team has given a Tulip encompassed 20 questions to find within it. There were total 80 TULIP with approximate of 46KM to route for the answer. It is not so bad as challenge#2 but due to over spending the time allowance at New World Park, Challenge #2. We are unable to accomplished the total tulip but to report to the finished line by 7pm. (Lateness with have score deducted)

It is very interesting event. No doubt everyone has a lot of fun and joy during hunt. Overall comments: We are looking forward for next hunt !

Tanjung Run 2008 !

(Sun. 9-Nov-2008) A sunny Sunday morning, while many still having a sweet dream on their bed. Our First N Last team mates (from the left: CH Lee, KS Teh, TC Lee, CL Lee, TK Lau & WP Ooi) have gear up for the 2008 Penang Tanjung Run.

All runners managed to finish the run within the prerequisite timing to qualify for the finishing-medal and of course the ticket to participated in the lucky draw. Although, we bring back with empty hands :P

Bravo!! In this time, our hero has finished the race on 14th placing with 47'32" finished on the 10 kilometre distance. It is proundly to receive the finishing medal from our Yang Berhormat Dipertua Negeri Pulau Pinang.

Run ! City Run 2008

(Sun. 19-October-08 @7:30am.) A city run Organized by Kwong Wah Jit Poh Press. An approximate 2500 runners have assembled in front of the Penang earlier landmark "Komtar". That including our team "The First & Last" members. (Alvin, CLLee, KSTeh, Roland, TCLee, TKLau, WPOoi, YFLai)

On this second year participation seem like much more easier for everyone. Without much hassle and effort, we have finished the run.

Although, this year our team not manage to grab any placing in the race. Our champion CLLee has achieved a superb result finished the run on 30mins. The rest of team runners also managed to finish the run within 60mins.

Message: Try again your luck on next year !

Penang Merdeka Run 2008

Merdeka ! Merdeka ! Merdeka !

(Sun. 24th Aug'08) It is never be too early to roar on Merdeka... We, Penangite has an earlier "Merdeka Run" organized by the Kelab Sukan Dan Rekreasi Melayu Pulau Pinang. On 7:30am every participate runners have assembled in front of Perjabat Immigration Pulau Pinang to start the race.

Total 10km stress of route is ahead our challenges. Nevertheless, our hero (CL,Lee) has finished the run at 0'44"09. Hence, grab away this year 6th placing from the total 1200 participated runners from various state and country. Great achievement, congraturation to our team.

Nothing Gonna Stop Us Now !!

An evil-like feeling experienced from the first year (2007) Penang Hill hiking. It would not scared us to stop taking the challenge to conquer the hill once again. Now, today 20th of July 2008. We, the "First & Last" team did not ponder much on those hard and bitter moment but we are on our track.

This 2nd year, we have new coming challenger to take part in the event. Nevertheless, they have make to the top without giving out to their sweats, muscle-aches, dehydrating, even swollens & blisters.

Here, we would like to congraturate our comrade (CLLee) who has achieved an excellance result. He completed the route within an hour, a minute plus fourteen second (1Hr.1Min.14Sec.) Thus, took down the 13th placing in this year tournament...Great Job.
